Pacific Ocean
Olema Campground is located on a beautiful and dramatic section of the California coast. You can watch whales from the historic Point Reyes Lighthouse or explore the ocean treasures scattered across the sand at Point Reyes National Seashore.
Tidal influences and ocean currents can bring to shore almost everything, from abalone shells to beautiful driftwood carved by sea and sand. Patient beachcombers can occasionally find glass floats from fishing nets in Asia. You can also enjoy amazing views of the ocean, Golden Gate Bridge, and San Francisco Bay from Mount Tamalpais State Park.
